Rent to a student in Luxembourg

September 9, 2014

Back to college!

More than 6000 college students are starting their year at the University of Luxembourg. Currently, most of them are actively looking for housing and are looking for advertisements on the internet.

Between the campuses of Limpertsberg, Kirchberg and Walferdange, they are changing the game of the rental market in the capital, but also in Esch-Belval, where the faculties of science and languages will soon be based. Renting to students usually involves shorter leases and more flexible property management options.

Also, risk of unpaid rent is limited since co-signers are either parents or the state. Another valuable resource is the University with its Study and Student Life Services (SEVE). They can inform students and also rents out apartments and houses from private parties. The SEVE then makes these properties available to young people.

This service guarantees the owners that rent is paid and maintenance is done while students get a housing solution at a reasonable price. These structures give priority to students coming to Luxembourg through international exchange programs such as the Erasmus program.

If you're a student, you'll find all the rental advertisements on our webpage.

Happy hunting!
