It's official, the University of Luxembourg will complete its move to Belval at the end of summer 20
8 de julio de 2015
Soon, we will consider the University of Luxembourg the successor to the blast furnace, the country's current strong economic symbol. The meeting, knowledge, work, leisure, commerce, housing, and culture spot will be no other than the 120 hectares of the Esch-sur-Alzette neighborhoods.
Belval is currently frequented by 5,000 people, who go there to work. But that's not all! High school students also rub shoulders with Belval to carry out their studies. This small locality makes provision for 600 housing units for 1,400 inhabitants, and it's not just the citizens who are the happy owners but also companies, of which there are 220. And so as to not slow down Belval's perfect momentum, at the start of the 2015 school year, which will take place in mid-September, 10,000 students and teachers will be welcomed... a piece of news that promises a nice enrichment and an unbounded dynamism to the city.
You can surely imagine the strongly positive consequences that this move will have, and the shopkeepers, impatient, do not know how to speed up the time except by renovating their respective stores. As for the others, they take advantage of this excellent opportunity to get reliable information on the premises that are likely to still be open... part of this research is being done on our prized Belval Plaza shopping mall. Because of this, the student housing projects materialize and are closely followed by the numerous apartment buildings that are not going to be late in seeing the light of day... year-round!
Now, you will no longer be without knowledge of the commercial real estate market; our businesses and residential housing in Belval will be seen with a new face thanks to the numerous construction projects that will meet all expectations. With this, there is good reason to appeal to couples who quickly want to have access to a higher quality of life without having to put down exorbitant sums of money. To give you an idea, it would be about 1,000 euros less than housing in the capital!
And the best in all this is that there's something for everyone. The unique site where the University is being set up is also bound to appeal to curious people passing through. Yes, the city of Belval will have the pleasure of welcoming innovation with open arms, with the city of sciences right in the center of the old blast furnaces, which are still active. Especially when we know that they were polished and refitted so as to be transformed for visitors, right? For good reason, over 10,000 tourists contemplated visiting Belval in 2014... we await you!
