Luxembourg: between €300,000 and €500,000 for a 90 m² house in need of renovation
30 de mayo de 2017
Luxembourg is known for being expensive, particularly for its housing prices. And given that more and more French people living near the border are crossing into the country, the French newspaper, Le Républicain Lorrain, has described in a few words the difference in price between rent in the Lorrain region and in Luxembourg, and what a French border dweller can expect to find in Luxembourg.
Conversely, this article could end up convincing residents of Luxembourg who have thought about taking the opposite route and moving to France!
What you can buy in Luxembourg for less than €300,000:
A 65m² apartment, near the southern Luxembourg border (between Dudelange and Bettembourg).
An underground parking space in the town centre goes for around €100,000.
What can you buy with a budget of between €300,000 and €500,000?
A small 90m² house that you will have to renovate.
Or a 90 to 100m² apartment, without a garage.
And with a budget of €500,000 to €600,000?
A new, semi-detached house with a garden.
For €700,000?
A 160m² house, probably terraced or semi-detached.
And for €900,000 or €1,000,000?
This will allow you to buy a detached villa with a garden.
Or a nice 100m² apartment in Luxembourg City.
In terms of location, renting a 190m² house in Luxembourg cost on average €2,800 at the end of 2016, and renting a 70m² renovated apartment was €1,430. In a nutshell, the prices are twice the price of leasing in Thionville!
