Choose the right room in your home

Choosing the right room that will host the private cinema is essential. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need a very large room to accommodate all the equipment. You can easily set up a cinema in a room of about fifteen square meters (there are projectors suitable for smaller spaces).

If you do not have an extra room in your house or apartment, you can install a projector anywhere, you just need a white space to project the image. You can use your TV area by arranging it as you wish (by adding blackout curtains for example).

For an optimal cinematic experience, we recommend choosing a fairly dark room, with few or no windows (a cellar or attic are ideal) and to darken it as much as possible: paint or black/anthracite stretched fabric. Do not forget the floor and the ceiling which are essential for a good immersion!

Arrange the room well

To create a real home cinema, the choice of equipment is very important. There are audio and video systems for all budgets, but the most important thing is to choose the right equipment for your needs. That is why we recommend that you be accompanied by an expert in the field.

To use the setup capabilities to the fullest, do not neglect the acoustics! It is estimated that only 25% of the perceived sound emanates directly from the speakers, the remaining 75% comes from reflections on the walls. Interior AND exterior acoustic insulation will protect your cinema and the people around it from noise pollution.

Also remember to use suitable lighting, which will not bother you during the projection, but which will allow you to move around the room if necessary. Soft lighting will also make your room and your decoration stand out.

In order to enjoy your private cinema for as long as possible, do not neglect the air conditioning (to prevent the devices from overheating) and the ventilation of the room (to keep humidity away).
