Overview of heating systems with Buderus

11 de abril de 2017

On 16 March, Ferroknepper Buderus invited IMMOTOP.LU to visit its stand at Francfort-sur-le-Main ISH exhibition, the biggest B2B event bringing together some 2,500 professionals from 61 different countries in the industry of heating and sanitation, as well as energy and in particular, renewable energy.

This visit has allowed us to discover the latest innovations in heating for individuals and professionals in Luxembourg, as well as future developments in this field.

The Ferroknepper Buderus company

Ferroknepper Buderus S.A., with offices in Esch-sur-Alzette, is a subsidiary of the Robert Bosch Group which is part of Bosch Thermotechnology. It is recognized worldwide as one of the world's leading manufacturers of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Buderus is the brand name of the company, which supplies many homes in Luxembourg with its range of boilers, heat pumps, solar thermal systems and cogeneration units.

What to remember from the visit

Ferroknepper Buderus presented us with its various heating solutions currently being introduced by professional developers and heating specialists in Luxembourg.

Whether gas, pellet or heat pump boilers, the aim is to make them more compact and/or more fashionable. Given the price per square meter in Luxembourg, the space of the home needs to be optimized and it is becoming difficult to have a room dedicated solely to the boiler. The chosen heating system must therefore be as compact as possible while guaranteeing impeccable performance.

Design is also at the center of discussions. Due to a lack of space, developers or individuals sometimes have to place their heating system in the heart of the home, in the kitchen for example. The look of the Buderus boilers has therefore been revised and optimized to blend into living spaces.

Wood or pellet boilers offer a variety of designs that can add to the decor of a living room, for example.

The visit has also made us aware of hybrid energy. From now on and for the future, it is no longer a matter of thinking about energy through a single system, but though several. For example, Buderus can combine gas and solar energy, which makes it possible to increase the contribution towards renewable energy and, at the same time, to lower energy bills.

And for the future?

The Buderus brand heating systems can be connected (with the owner's agreement), allowing the fitter to receive an alert message that indicates a potential error or a potentially defective part. The professional and the inhabitant thus have more time to intervene thanks to the upstream management which allows the heating engineer to obtain the necessary part before attending.

By around 2020, the devices will be even more connected and will become even more intelligent. The Buderus heating systems will be able to geolocate up to five mobile phones from the home so that you can control the activation of the heating: The heater itself will turn on if it finds that every day at the same time you leave your work and you have a 45-minute drive before you arrive home. A stop at the gym every Wednesday? The intelligent system can also take this into account and delay the heating activation on that day. There is no need to turn the heater on if the house is going to remain empty for several hours.

Current manual programming will become more intelligent. The idea behind this technology is to optimize energy demand, which will also lower bills. A boost for the planet and for the inhabitants!
