Interior decoration for Christmas

20 dicembre 2018

This holiday, rethink your home and let the magic of Christmas in !

When we talk about interior Christmas decor, the Christmas tree is the first thing to come to mind. Natural, potted, cut, or artificial, you have no end of choices.

If you don't have enough space for a traditional tree, opt instead for a suspended or wall tree. There are also wooden trees that you can place on a table, piece of furniture, or windowsill. You can decorate them by placing branches or Christmas ornaments at the base if they are too fragile for hanging decorations.

When choosing the colors of your accessories (ornaments, garlands, decorative objects, etc.), some follow tradition by using gold, red, green, and white. Others go off the beaten path and use flashy or neon colors—even pink. To each their own!

This year's trend is "going green," or choosing sustainable Christmas decorations that are more respectful of nature and the environment. The goal is to avoid the holiday's practice of consumerism that encourages us to overbuy. This trend incorporates a soothing atmosphere and artisanal or DIY decorations, giving your decor a personal touch. Tin, metal, or even silver are used prominently.

There's something for everyone when it comes to table decor (chic, natural, classic, Scandinavian, etc.). Express your creativity and imagination. Some like their tables laden with decor while others take a minimalist approach. It often only takes a few golden accessories to add a touch of sophistication to your space. Add colored or scented candles to give your home a festive feel. Jingle bells and colored or glass ball ornaments placed on the table will add some cheer to the room.

Whatever your style, Christmas is a magical holiday! If you follow your desires, tastes, and family traditions, Santa Claus will love the atmosphere you create in your home and leave a few gifts underneath your tree. ;-)
